Admittedly a hefty dose of Disneyfication has shaped human beliefs about raccoons, but I suspect even those the most immune from this effect would agree that these are intelligent, resourceful and adaptable creatures. This podcast ponders whether their ability to use those qualities to enable them to adapt to the suburban communities that replaced their woodlands will be enough to save them from transmissible cancer.
