Episode 398 – Transporting Ecosystems

Dan cover sans titleSue Sternberg, who’s probably forgotten more about shelter dogs than most people will ever know, once described dogs who arrive without reliable histories as comparable to sitting in a crowded plane next to an unknown person who carries a box. You can’t be sure what’s in the box until you open it. Sue was referring to behavioral issues. In this podcast, I consider the transportation of the whole canine or feline enchilada, i.e.,  four-legged fur-covered ecosystems, and what that may mean for companion animals and the people with whom they live.
