What’s missing?
In what I hope is the last of my allergy/cold fighting podcasts, this podcast belatedly puts an animal spin on World Mental Health Day. On October 10th, the World Health Organization marked the day by focusing on the need to integrate psychological first aid into the emergency/rescue treatment process.
Sometimes those who rescue animals ignore the animal’s behavior and bond needs, too. I suspect many of them would justify this saying they’re too busy saving lives. But I also suspect that the animals themselves as well as those who adopt them and must deal with any fall-out of this short-sighted approach might not agree.
