Private Behavioral/Bond Consulting for Pet Owners
Phone consultations are available by appointment for those experiencing behavioral/bond problems with their pets. Rates are $125 per hour, with a $75 minimum. This fee includes the phone consultation, any pertinent hand-outs, and eight-weeks of e-mail follow-up related to that specific problem.
Consultation topics include, but are not limited to, dog and cat aggression (toward humans and other animals), spraying and marking, chewing, clawing, digging and other destructive behaviors, separation anxiety, compulsive displays, possibly stress-related medical problems (irritable bowel syndrome, recurrent urinary tract problems, epilepsy, allergies, asthma), coping with the impending or actual loss of a pet, moving a pet into a new environment, introducing new pets into the household, and new pet selection.
All consultations will be approached holistically, i.e., the animal's health, behavior, and relationship with the owner(s) all will be considered, with cure rather than symptomatic treatment as the ultimate goal.

Behavioral/Bond Consulting for Profit and Non-Profit Organizations
Because so many people assign so many different symbolic meanings to animals, what may appear like perfectly logical organizational or business decisions to those unaware of the workings of the human-animal bond may become mired down in emotional internal and public debates and public relations disasters. To help avoid that, consulting services for profit and non-profit organizations have three primary focuses:
- Providing bond and behavioral background information for municipalities and attorneys dealing with animal-related issues.
- Designing and implementing programs for the handling of potentially sensitive animal-related problems, such as animals which pose a threat to human and other animal health or threaten natural or man-made resources.
- Providing the necessary bond and behavioral information to facilitate the introduction of new animal-related products or services or to create a quality, knowledge-based pro-animal, pro-bond public image.
